Event
Description
|
The Haliburton
Sculpture Forest,
in Glebe park near the village
of Haliburton, is a
unique outdoor collection of sculptures by Canadian and international
artists. The trails in the Sculpture
Forest provide changing
perspectives of the forest and the sculptures in each of the seasons.
In the six years since its inception, a remarkable outdoor sculpture
gallery has been created. The Sculpture
Forest features
seventeen sculptures and two sculptured benches.
Each
guided walking tour of the forest will feature a unique theme - Mythology of the Sculpture Forest; Poetry of the Sculpture Forest; and Fables & Folktales. Those who enjoy outdoor trails, a quiet
environment and an artistic experience will thoroughly enjoy the Haliburton Sculpture Forest.
Tours will
begin from the Trails & Tours Kiosk, located at the edge of the Fleming College, Haliburton Campus parking
lot. All tours will be held rain or
shine.
