Escape from Alcatraz is a two day Mountain Bike Enduro. We invite you to Bancroft, the "Mineral Capital of Canada" to ride "The Rock." This Enduro is a family-based event where you can ride a variety of exciting trails and have the adventure of a lifetime Riders travel in teams of two. Problem solving and decision making are key components to earning or losing points. Ride as many sections as you wish. You set the level of challenge.

The event starts at the northern section of the trail where you must execute your escape from "Alcatraz." After escaping, you must ride a series of gnarly single tracks (closed sections) and/or flat double track (transit sections), avoiding Prison Guards who are in pursuit on Mountain Bikes. The first day ends in Bancroft where you earn "parole" and celebrate with a BBQ and entertainment. Day Two sees you continuing south through a series of challenging sections. Sunday wraps up with a freedom party and awards. This event is sanctioned by the Ontario Cycling Association. |

Join a family cycle ride along the Scenic River Road Trail between Peterborough and Lakefield. Participants will enjoy healthy treats at stops along the trail. The events runs from 10 am until 2 pm. Cyclists start at Trent University and follow the river along the trail to just before Lakefield. The distance of the ride is approximately 8 kilometres each way. You decide how far you want to ride.

There is no pre-registration or registration fee for the Terry Fox Run. There is no minimum amount to raise. Please show up at least a 1/2 hour before the start time if you wish to be involved in the official start.
For one month after the Run, you can take your money and pledge sheet to any Canadian bank or send it to the provincial office listed at the top of this page afterwhich, it must be mailed to the provincial office.
